Remembering New York Marathon

Small Changes,
Better Life,
Healthy You!!!
😍 ❤ 💘

A few years ago, I stood on First Avenue in Manhattan with my two friends and a LOT of strangers. It was a crisp-cool evening, and we were watching packs-and-packs of runners go by, running the kick off 5K prior to running the New York City marathon the next day. At age 50, at the time, I felt good. I’m living proof that little steps we take each day will make a difference. It will get us there. They all combine to determine how good we will feel today, tomorrow and in five years.

It is never too early, or too late, to add healthy habits, you have to choose each day, over-and-over and over every single day. This is how small steps add up. And each day is different and you have to empower yourself, your head has to be in the right place, to keep moving forward.

The three of us got up early, that crisp day in New York and got on our separate buses to lead us to the start. We made it through the run. The experience running the New York marathon is like no other. I plan to run it again. Because it sure was an experience running through the 4 quadrants, with all of the cheering sections.

The whole city of New York is shut down. It is amazing!!!!

Think of your life as a series of year cycles.

There is a small, disheveled baby robin making her very first steps in my garden today. She looks a bit dazed and exhausted, her lovely yell...
